Andrew Harvey: Networks of Grace

In a rare visit to Toronto, scholar, mystic and inspirational speaker ANDREW HARVEY   leads two events on January 6 and 7, 2012.

Andrew Harvey is author of over 30 books including “A Journey in Ladakh”, “The Hope , A Guide to Sacred Activism”, “The Direct Path”, “The Way of Passion, A Celebration of Rumi”, “The Return of the Mother” and “Son of Man”  and co-author of  “The Tibetan book of Living and Dying”.  At 21 he was the youngest person ever awarded a fellowship to Oxford.  He was the subject of the 1993 BBC documentary “The Making of a Modern Mystic” and is the founder director of the Institute of Sacred Activism.

Sacred Activism is a transforming force of compassion-in-action that is born of a fusion of deep spiritual knowledge, courage, love, and passion, with wise radical action in the world. The large-scale practice of Sacred Activism can become an essential force for preserving and healing the planet and its inhabitants:  Andrew Harvey

Lynda

The workshop unfolds with such a gentle force and depth, moving us out of our heads and into our pelvis — that, stepping back now, I see how we all deepened into our selves and, as a result, the group deepened — in its connection, in its sense of safety and in its capacity to hold more and more depth of experience. It was a seamless and beautiful and kind weaving back and forth, engaging and opening all the way…..

I would also say that, as a therapist, I have definitely, since the workshop, worked more with the breath and with grounding with my clients — and have met them with more receptivity.

Soraya

Immeasurably valuable.  Thank you – you teach with a respect for where the student is at as well as a curiosity and support for where we might go.  More than that you teach us to give that to ourselves.   - Soraya

Ellen

Was able to feel my body again after a few years of feeling like a stranger in my own body.

Annie

Philip Shepherd’s work fits squarely in with the work of visionaries such as Rolf, Murphy, Siegel, Roth, Kabat-Zinn and others; those unique creatures who can see (and teach) ways to liberate the vast, untapped human potential to live better, love more, sustain happiness, and do good things in the world around them.
Annie Hartzog-Murrell, Therapist, Tulsa, Oklahoma

David

I am carrying far less stress and have more energy. This workshop is sure to have an ongoing effect on my life.

This work is like an initiation into a vast field of possibility for being fully nourished from within, receptive to all life.
